The primary difference is capacity and versatility. The GT-30L MAX features a larger interior work envelope designed specifically to accommodate live tooling and a C-Axis spindle. Coupled with extended axis travels, this makes it an incredibly versatile powerhouse, especially for job shops that need the flexibility to run a wide variety of complex, multi-operation parts.
While it offers significantly more machining capacity, the footprint remains highly compact at just 59" × 55". This allows you to fit a highly versatile, heavy-duty production machine into a space where traditional lathes simply wouldn't fit.
Yes. The 55 mm tool table height and extended 11.8" travels make it fully compatible with axial and radial live tools for milling, drilling, and tapping. Combined with full C-axis interpolation, the GT-30L MAX becomes a complete mill-turn center capable of producing complex parts done-in-one.
Absolutely. Both the GT-30 Mini and the GT-30L MAX are equipped with robust 1-HP axis motors and a powerful 5-HP servo-drive spindle, allowing them to power through difficult alloys while consistently holding extremely tight tolerances.
The state-of-the-art GSK CNC control utilizes the same industry-standard G-code commands as Fanuc. Machinists transition to it effortlessly. Fanuc controls are also available for shops that prefer them.

Absolutely. The GT-30L MAX integrates seamlessly with robotic arm loading systems, vibratory bowl feeders, gravity feed & track loaders, and bar feeders — creating a fully automated turning cell with minimal operator intervention.
A gang tool lathe mounts all cutting tools on a linear gang plate simultaneously — the axes simply slide to the next tool, eliminating turret indexing time entirely. For high-volume precision parts, gang tool turning centers deliver dramatically shorter cycle times and higher hourly part yields.
